Kia ora and welcome to Mata Brewery! We’ve been a family-owned brewery since 2005. Mata Beer, Cider, Rewind RTDs and GUZZ non-alcoholic sodas are all made by us, on site here in Whakatāne.

Our brewery is also home to the Mata Taproom and Mama G’s Kitchen, where locals catch up over fresh drinks and tasty food. If you’re visiting Whakatāne, come in, try a tasting tray and discover your favourites.

Our family friendly brewery bar and restaurant has 12 taps pouring a changing selection of fresh Mata Beer and Cider, as well as Rewind RTDs, wine and plenty of non-alcoholic choices. Make yourself comfortable inside or find a spot in the sunshine.

Mama G’s Kitchen serves up tasty street food to enjoy with your local drinks. Stay for lunch or dinner, catch up with friends, or pick up some cans and a fresh rigger fill to take home.
